Aim and Scope:
As an international workshop financially supported by the Ministry of Education in Japan, we now focus on the area of the "New" approach for marketing. This workshop will be for not only academics but also business people to have an opportunity to share the knowledge of new directions of research and discuss their applications to marketing problems. The possible topics include hierarchy Bayes models, finite mixture models, state space models, structural equation models, data mining methods, and e.t.c. All of these have been commonly used in marketing and consumer behavior problems.

Call for Papers:
There are two categories of submissions: (1) papers for the
presentation and (2) papers for the poster session.
-- Papers for the presentation:
All abstract submissions will be peer reviewed. An abstract should be submitted by e-mail as a PDF (file name:presen_your name.pdf) to sato@gssm.otsuka.tsukuba.ac.jp. After acceptance, a final paper for publication should be submitted by e-mail as a PDF to sato@gssm.otsuka.tsukuba.ac.jp. YOUR PAPER MUST BE CAMERA READY. The final paper will be published in the proceedings if authors have submitted a paper by the deadline.
-- Papers for the poster session :
An abstract may be submitted only for the poster session at the workshop. All abstract submission will be peer reviewed. An abstract should be submitted by email as a PDF (file name:abstract_your name.pdf) to sato@gssm.otsuka.tsukuba.ac.jp. After acceptance, authors will prepare their short paper (not exceed 2 single-spaced pages) for the publication. A short paper will be printed in the proceedings if authors submitted a paper by the deadline.
-- Manuscript Submission Guideline:
The authors are required to prepare a manuscript by the following important date. The procedure for submission of papers includes the following guidelines:
(1) The manuscript must be in English.
(2) The abstract is limited to 500 (200 for the poster session) words.
(3) The final paper should not exceed 20 (2 for the poster session) single-spaced pages of text using 12 or 11 point size type on 8.5 x 11 inch (letter (A4) size) pages. YOUR PAPER MUST BE CAMERA READY.
(4) The paper should include title, authors'names, postal and e-mail addresses.

Notification of acceptance October 21, 2006
Final papers due November 18, 2006
